Only a short time has passed since the death of Gilbrath at the hands of his son, Lord Nyx of Zylott and Tye is posing as a Shadow Keeper trainee to locate other Setti hybrid slaves that may have been transformed by the essence of the Setti hybrid. Not only does he have to deal with the intrigues of court life, he has to also deal with the political maneuvering of the elite and most unnerving of all, fending off the sexual advances of Rahna, the Death Master’s daughter. Most would be happy to experiment with the sexual games Rahna wants to play, but Tye has lost his heart to another.
Elita is also fighting a similar problem except it is she who is fighting the demands of her body. She finds herself sexually attracted to Tye but she believes that her true mate died years ago, therefore, she has decided to ignore the cravings of her body. After accidentally discovering that Tye is a spy and that Rahna is a Setti slave, she is forced to give an alibi for Tye in a murder case. When she proudly proclaims that she and Tye spent the day engaged in sex, Elita’s brother forces her to take Tye as a mate since he believes no other Keeper will take her to mate after she has been a “Zylott whore” as he put it.
This is the second book in the Zylott Wars Trilogy, but it is designed to be read on its own. It can stand independently as a book but I feel that it would be most beneficial to have read the other books that portray the dimensional realms that make up the worlds of the Keepers.
Ms Aubrey Ross takes us deeper into the worlds of the Keepers where secrets are revealed, hybrids are uncovered and mates are found. This is a remarkable story that surrounds us and whisks us away so thoroughly that when the end was reached, I immediately went to look for the next release date. This is a must read series for anyone who loves their Sci-Fi hot and passionate with complicated plot twists and unexpected conclusions. While you wait for the next release, I suggest you pick up books 1-3 of the Mystic Keepers Series. It will be well worth your time.
