Police officer
Renee Atkin is good at her job. Really good. She owed her undercover duty to her
great rack and
ass--which the higher ups in the department think goes with the streetwalker
cover. But it's frustrating--especially since she knew that she wanted to bust
open the Mariani drug case instead of working as an undercover hooker.
Sam Hooper had always been attracted to Renee. Problem was, she had a standing unspoken rule not to date fellow officers—too messy when things don’t work out. He’s willing to give it a try… but can he change her mind?
As Sam and Renee’s passion builds, danger mounts as an unknown perpetrator plans an attempt on their lives… Renee and Sam will have to fight for their lives and possibly, their love.
It takes great writing skill to write a novella and imbue it with the same depth and intensity as a full blown novel. Ms. Kerce was able to do this with Undercovers: Lady of the Night. It was very impressive.
Within the pages of this short story, Ms. Kerce’s talent and creativity shines through. It is amazing that despite it’s short length, one is able to feel the characters—their thoughts, emotions and history with each other. As soon as the story begins, one is pulled inextricably into the narrative and is fully involved in what is going on—even the characters’ minute sensations are impressed into the readers’ consciousness. I enjoyed reading Undercovers: Lady of the Night, it was a real pleasure to read. Well done, Ms. Kerce! Very well done indeed!
