Rulagh is bored. As an exo-biologist and veterinarian in the year 2032 his life pretty much sucks. His sex rating or urros ranking is so low he will probably never get a mate. He’d imagined his life as an adventurer amongst the stars, not stuck in a lab filling his time with minutia. All that changes when he discovers a lost Shreannan pet report filed eighty years ago by some wealthy tourists who had visited the planet Earth. If he could successfully eradicate the infestation, his life would change, his urros would increase and he would finally have some adventure in his life. This was his chance and he was taking it.

She is rescued by a very unusual being by the name of Rulagh. Thus, begins the adventure of her life.
Ms. Karmazin has again proven that her title of Queen of the Sci-fi is well deserved. She has taken a story that at first glance might be considered a fluff piece and created a wonderfully exciting and thought provoking space opera, populated by intelligent, strong, sexy characters. While they encounter government agents, local police, interplanetary bureaucracy and a breeding population of vicious pets, Sonia and Rulagh, find that love under adversity really does conqueror all. Lets hope The Huntress is only the first in a long series because the supporting characters (even some of the pets) are just too exquisite to leave. They truly deserve their own stage. Hopefully we won’t have to wait too long.
