Lily Marchand is a vampire or will become one on her 21st birthday and she can’t wait.  She wants to explore all the party lifestyle that being a full fledged vampire has to offer.  She wants to belong.  Lily is concerned that whichever older vampire initiates her into womanhood and vampirism at her Coming Out Ceremony will try to bite her to force her to become their mate instead of allowing her the freedom to explore the wildness of their existence.

Adrian Gray is head of this clan of vampires and has known for years that he would not only initiate Lily, but mate with her.  He did not realize that he would fall in love with her until he saw her at a family reunion when she was only 16.  She WILL be his.  He knows that she wants him and the closer it gets to her Coming Out Ceremony the more often he visits her at night and shares erotic dreams with her.  Only Adrian and her parents know the most dangerous secret that Lily does not even know which will force her hand.

Surrender The Night will capture you from the beginning and although you know there is a catch in the story, the ending will surprise you.  Blair Valentine has crafted a compelling short story that draws you into her decidedly fun and different version of the vampire world.  Step into Adrian and Lily’s world for an albeit short, but fun read.  This one will leave you begging for more and wishing this one had lasted longer!
