Griffin Calverson was sexy, handsome, powerful and the kind of man nobody wants to mess with. He was cold and untouchable. But he was also lonely.

Araminta Woodhall was exotically beautiful, extremely talented and a born nurturer. A chef of the highest order, she was now in the employ of one Linder Kane, a man whom she had mistakenly thought of as a good man who turned out to b an evil monster. Though she longed to leave, she knew that she couldn’t just up and go until she was sure that Olivia, Kane’s mistress, was safe. Lately, Kane’s temper was almost out of control and she knew that the bruises that she had seen in Olivia’s arms and face were not the only bruises that he had inflicted.

There was only one man who could help keep her and Olivia safe. Griffin Calverson. The brother of Timona Calverson, her best friend and former employer who was now married to Michael McCann, Griffin was a person that Araminta did not particularly like. He was cold and distant and much like Kane. He was dangerous. She could feel it. But she had no other choice and she knew it. She just hoped that she could fight the attraction that was brewing between them for she knew that it was impossible for them to ever have anything resembling love. Or was it?

We met Griffin Calverson in Somebody Wonderful. The cold and enigmatic brother of Timona Calverson, one becomes intrigued, even excited at the notion of such a powerful and distant man finally meeting his match. And Ms. Rothwell definitely delivers a fitting end to Griffin’s bachelorhood with Somebody to Love!

I was very surprised about this book and quite happy about it. Not only did it break racial boundaries, it also opened minds. I mean it’s one thing to break contemporary barriers but to break historical ones, WOW! I congratulate Ms. Rothwell for it! The book proved that two people of different races coming together can be as beautiful, arguably even more beautiful than two people of the same race falling in love with each other.

I loved this book. Once again, Ms. Rothwell proves herself a master at creating characters that will ingrain themselves in the readers’ hearts. Completely different from Timona and Michael, Griffin and Araminta’s relationship is more tempestuous but equally beautiful, interesting and heart-warming. I recommend this book with all my heart and I look forward to more books like this one. Way to go, Ms. Rothwell, way to go!
