Niccolo Ascosi is a modern vampire who does not HAVE to drink blood from actual people, but hates the aftertaste of plastic and chooses his "donors" as carefully as his vintage wines. On this night, he sees such a lovely woman that he wants more than a taste of her blood. He wants total intimacy while he savors such a treat. But once tasted, can he ever let her go?

Ivory Allison does not see herself as a beautiful woman. True, she has beautiful blonde hair and blue eyes, but she is not even close to being a fashionable waif thin. She also enjoys wonderfully prepared food with a nice glass of wine. When she finds herself alone for the evening in Italy while her clients are off without need of her interpreter services, she chooses an exquisite restaurant to indulge herself. The totally hot man across the restaurant definitely catches her attention and she willingly takes him up on his offer to dine with him. Ivory has a hard time believing this gorgeous man could truly be interested in her, but decides to indulge herself in one more thing. one hot night in Italy . But can one night turn into a lifetime of nights, especially when one Niccolo Ascosi has a BIG secret?

JJ Massa again has just pulled me into her world with Rubies, Sapphires and Ivory . Ivory is such a real woman with a real woman's desires, feelings and needs. Don't we all enjoy a good meal? Don't we all wish we were a tad thinner? Don't we all wish for the love of a good man? Then throw in an extremely handsome Italian man whose only wish is to love her, but he has this one little teeny problem, he's a vampire. I was hooked from the first page and didn't put it down until I was done. Although not a long book, it is enthralling and captivating. My JJ Massa folder is bulging with keeper books and this one has just been added in!
