Isabeau Fallon is known as the Fallen Star. Some think she is just a myth as no one could really sneak onto interstellar ships and steal. She is a top notch code cracker and thief. Sobehk is a Skeldhi hunter who tracks down thieves and either delivers justice or sells them as sex pets. When she takes him on a merry chase over 3 days, through filthy, dangerous back alleys, sewers, etc., Sobehk finds he has to convert her to a a skeldhi/human mix early to protect her. This starts the bonding process and they both discover they truly care for each other and Sobehk decides he will keep her for his own. What neither knows is Khan has other plans. He wants them both for HIS own and he's a prince.

There is a plot afoot however and Isabeau is set up to be the instrument of death against her will. It will take all her skill, determination and enhanced abilities to protect her men and herself and if they would just stay out of her way, she could do so much easier and better than either of them.

Morgan Hawke has instantly won a new convert in me with Fallen Star . This is my first opportunity to read her work and I've already added to my wish list so that I can enjoy more of her superb writing! She creates a rich sci fi world you just fall into with no little glitches to stumble over that pull you out of her fantasy. This just plays like a movie in your head as you read with her strong descriptive writing. Although her subject matter is not for all readers, even the parts that would normally hit my "ick factor" seemed in perfect context in the story. I highly recommend this book and look forward to my next adventure with Ms. Hawke's writing.

This is definitely for readers who enjoy BDSM and non traditional sexualities. It is also the 3 rd in her Interstellar Service and Discipline series. Although it can be read as a stand alone, you too will be going back for the first two in the series ( Victorious Star and Fortune's Star which is part of the H ard Candy anthology) after reading Fallen Star .
