Challenged

Stone McAllister is restless.  His twin has just mated with a wolf from Banff and has switched loyalties to her pack.  They’ve always been together and shared EVERYTHING.  Now he is reluctant to return to his empty den even though his older littermate is nearby.  He wanders into The Wolf’s Howl looking for a beer, some food and an easy woman before heading home to Prince George.

Twenty-two year old Alicia “Ali” Bastien works in The Wolf’s Howl as a waitress.  When Stone walks in, she is immediately drawn to him and lets him know she is interested.  He is way out of her league, but she wants him regardless and decides to take on the test.  All the other werewolfs in her life just didn’t measure up and she’d avoided any relationship with them.  Stone was different and she knew it.  She was going to take this chance life offered her.

Ali’s youth and innocence were belied by her look and dress.  Stone made sure she understood the rules of the game… his rules, his game. He is in charge and she must trust him.  Ali must overcome her inner fear to meet the challenge. Stone must overcome the distrust of her pack and his own reluctance to mate.

Lorie O’Clare has written another winner.  She is at the top of her game with Challenged.  The world of pack life comes alive with her descriptive writing.  You’ll feel the rush of fur under your skin and wish you could run through the hills with the pack and feel the excitement of the fight and enjoy the passion of their love.

Although this could be read as a stand alone book, I highly suggest you enjoy Taming Heather and Pursuit before devouring this one.
