Eros (reviewed by Chantay)

Aria Loran, a thirty-two year old heiress, decides to take a trip to Eros, known as the Pleasure Planet. Shes hoping for a week of pure sexual relaxation and satisfaction with her ideal mate. Arias world gets rocked when she lands on Eros, which is made to look like her home city Galana and where she meets Ronan. Aria, ever the headstrong woman and used to being in control, has to relinquish all control to Ronan. If she doesnt follow Ronans rules she will be punished. This includes addressing him by his first name or sir and telling him thank you whether he has punished her or rewarded her.

Aria has to learn how to follow Ronans if she wants to have a pleasurable week on Pleasure Planet.  Ronan, an Erosian alien, teaches Aria to submit to his every whim. Hes pretty sure she will obey him and shell enjoy doing so. Ronan is also confident Aria will enjoy her punishment.

Claire Thompson has written an enjoyable, sensual piece of work. This futurist love story, set in the twenty-fourth century, explores the world of submission. This is an intense story that is a true erotic piece of literature. Pleasure Planet: Eros is a fascinating story that will leave readers eager and hungry for more.

Tristan's Woman (reviewed by Raashema)

Although Ava is a famed veil dancer at one of the galaxies most exclusive pleasure planets, her life is far from pleasurable.  As a half-breed, the proud pureblood Erosians shun her and her brother, Kell.  On Eros half-breeds are not allowed to have sex with anyone, so Ava is forced to lead a life of frustrated solitude as a voyeur: watching, but never participating.  Kell, on the other hand, is held captive as a bargaining pawn to make sure that Ava does what she is told.  Recently, she has been told that he is to be sent to an elderly king in hopes of forestalling a war with the Neehaleese.

Tristan, the leader of the Karn’alians Cyborg retrieval search team sent to Eros to locate any Karn’alian descendants, just wants to do his search and leave.  Logan and Jed, his second and third in command, want to partake of the pleasures that Pleasure Palace has to offer, but time is running out.  The Pagans, a race determined to annihilate any Karn’alian descendants that escaped the war, are also scouring the galaxies. Just as Tristan is about to give up his search, he witnesses Ava's dance of veils and his world tilts.  Everything but Ava becomes insignificant.  The heat that they generate puts them all in danger.  Monumental secrets and surprises emerge that will shock even Triston, Jed and Logan, as the lost are once again found.

Beverly Havlir has crafted a sci-fi world of great dept and foresight.  The heat between Ava and Triston is scorching and the ending ménage scene is incendiary.  It is almost impossible to realistically combine the sci-fi and the erotic romance genres but that is just what Ms Havlir has done.  Tristan’s Woman is nothing short of a spectacular start to what I hope is a long series.  I can’t wait for Logan and Jed’s stories.
